The name Chiya Pasal, which translates to “Tea Shop,” reflects a charming colonial retro-style all-day dining restaurant at Nepali Ghar Hotel that offers far more than its name suggests. Our signature restaurant presents a diverse selection of delectable local and international cuisines, seamlessly blending traditional warmth with modern comfort in a uniquely designed setting. The space is further enhanced by a cosy garden with a waterfall and koi pond, creating a peaceful and visually appealing dining atmosphere.
The restaurant offers multiple thoughtfully designed dining areas to suit different guest preferences. Guests can enjoy the open-air Front Yard for a refreshing outdoor experience, the Middle Section for casual dining and small gatherings, or the Inner Dining Area for a cosier and refined indoor setting. For larger groups and special occasions, the Backyard area with round-table setup provides a spacious and inviting environment. The indoor lounge bar offers a cosy space for drinks and light conversations.
Around 40% of our produce is grown on our own organic farm—from the Nepali Thali Set to steamed Mo:Mo and grilled rainbow trout.

Two open courtyards and a retro garden—with a gentle waterfall and a koi pond—wrap around Chiya Pasal, our all-day restaurant. From the 06:30 breakfast buffet through to dinner, the kitchen plates Nepali Thali sets, steamed Mo:Mo, grilled rainbow trout, and Pad Thai alongside international favourites, with around 40% of the produce grown on our own organic farm and picked the same morning.

At the Himalayan Buddhist Meditation Center, daily yoga and meditation are complimentary for all guests, guided by professional instructors. Teaching and meditation sessions and sound-healing therapies are also offered, on a chargeable basis.

A serene space for relaxation, rejuvenation, and reflection. Guests are invited to participate in our complimentary daily Yoga and Meditation session, guided by a professional yoga instructor. Prior reservation 24 hrs. in advance is requested at the Front Desk. Sessions may be cancelled in case the instructor is unavailable or due to unforeseen circumstances.

We are honoured to host a wonderful gathering of teachers who will guide us through some of the most essential and transformative topics on the Buddhist path. Whether you are new to the Dharma or a long-time practitioner, there is something deeply nourishing here for everyone. Sessions are scheduled on a regular basis and are chargeable. Our highly experienced therapists combine traditional Thai techniques with mindful rhythm to promote deep relaxation and overall well-being. Our dry massage therapies are an ancient rooted practice performed without the use of oils, focusing on restoring balance through guided pressure and stretching techniques. The treatment is carried out on specially designed comfort massage chairs, as relaxing as a bed, targeting the neck, shoulders, back, and feet. Gentle yet effective pressure is applied using the fingers, thumbs, and palms along key energy pathways of the body to release tension and restore harmony.
